M-1 in Japan

In about 15 hours, M-1 Challenge is having another team event in Japan. The event is going to be streamed live over at CageWarriors. France vs Spain, USA West vs South Korea, and Japan vs England as well as the Fedor Emelianenko vs Shinya Aoki. I really enjoy these M-1 team challenge events. I have always found team mma to be a guilty pleasure of mine. I think the IFL failed because they promoted the team aspect backwards. They promoted the team aspect first and the individual fights secondary. I think it should be the other way around, the individual fights first and then team aspect second. Have the individual fights mean something and then if the first 4 fights go 2-2, and the 5th fight just happens to decide the team battle, even better. Disapointed they didn't put in a Canadian team this year. With 16 spots, they definitly had the room for it. At least they dropped the Turkish team which was originally planned. I can name one fighter from Turkey off the top of my head.

The Fedor/Aoki bout is rather pointless. I can just imagine how much stalk the keyboard warriors will put in this fight. This exhibition bout means nothing and yet people will look at it and say stuff like "Aoki exposed Fedor on the ground" or something like this. This bout will be more half-assed than half the stuff in the WWE these days.

Prediction record for the year right now is 164-70-5-9 for a record of 70.0% Last week only had two fights I picked so not much change in the record. My picks for the M-1 card tomorrow:
M-1 CHALLENGE
Christian M'Pumbu (11-2-1) vs Enoc Solves (3-0) - Christian M'Pumbu
Fabio Negao (8-4) vs Myung Ho Bae (7-3) - Myung Ho Bae
Givanildo Santana (11-1) vs Min Suk Heo (4-8) - Givanildo Santana
Doo Hee Lee (3-4) vs Shane del Rosario (5-0) - Shane del Rosario
Hidehiko Hasegawa (16-11-6) vs Simon Phillips (6-2) - Hidehiko Hasegama
Rob Broughton (8-4-1) vs Yusuke Kawaguchi (8-0) - Yusuke Kawaguchi
